Each day you will be given a reading assignment. After reading the assigned portion record any observations or questions that come to mind.

PRAYER STARTER

Each Day you will be given a prayer starter. This is designed to help you begin your daily prayer to God.

 

Day 1

Read: Job 2:1-10

Prayer starter: Petition.

Just because you love God and serve Him faithfully doesn't mean that you will be free from suffering. As you begin to pray ask God to protect you from the enemy.

 

Day 2

Read: Isaiah 14:12-25

Prayer starter: Confession.

Isaih's description of the king of Babylon hints at Satan's rebellion against because of his pride. As you begin to pray ask God to forgive you of any pride in your life.

 

Day 3

Read: Ezekiel 28:11-19

Prayer starter: Praise

Ezekial's description of the king of Tyre gives us some insight at Satan's beginning. As you begin to pray realize you were created to praise God. So do it.

 

Day 4

Read: Matthew 4:1-11

Prayer starter: Commitment

If Satan is unafraid totempt Jesus, then you can expect to be tempted as well. As you begin to pray make a commitment to face temptation as Jesus did.

 

Day 5

Read: Revelation 12:1-17

Prayer starter: Thanksgiving

There was a great spiritual battle that took place when Jesus came to earth. As you begin to pray thank God that He chose to fight this battle for us.

 

Day 6

Read: Revelation 20:1-15

Prayer starter: Intercession

Satan and those who follow him will face eternal punishment. As you begin to pray think of someone who is headed for that destination and pray that he/she will be saved.

 

Extra Credit

Memorize James 4:7

Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
