PRAYER STARTER
Each Day you will be given a prayer starter. This is designed to help you begin your daily prayer to God.
Day 1
Read: Matthew 3:1-17
Prayer starter: Confession
John did not think Jesus should be baptized because He had no sin to confess; however that does not apply to anyone else. As you begin to pray confess your sins to God.
Day 2
Read: John 15:18-27
Prayer starter: Petition
Jesus warned His deciples that the world would hate them. As you begin to pray ask God to give you the strength to live for Jesus in this hostile world.
Day 3
Read: I Corinthians 12:1-11
Prayer starter: Commitment
God will give each believer a spiritual gift. As you begin to pray make a commitment to God to serve Him in the way He has designed you.
Day 4
Read: Ephesians 1:3-14
Prayer starter: Praise
If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior you should be the "praise of His glory." As you begin to pray praise God who has blessed you with "every spiritual blessing in Christ."
Day 5
Read: I Peter 1:1-12
Prayer starter: Thanksgiving
Through Jesus you can have salvation which gives you hope and reason to rejoice. As you begin to pray thank God for everything that comes to you because of salvation.
Day 6
Read: I John 5:1-12
Prayer starter: Intercession
The only way to have eternal life is through Jesus. As you begin to pray think of someone who has noy yet accepted Jesus as your Savior and intercede on his/her behalf.
