BIRTH OF MOSES OTS 10 March 9- 14 2006 Memorize Hebrews 11:23 By faith Moses' parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict. the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Directions READ AND RECORD Each day you will be given a reading assignment. After reading the assigned portion record any observations or questions that come to mind. PRAYER STARTER Each Day you will be given a prayer starter. This is designed to help you begin your daily prayer to God.
Day 1 Read: Exodus 1:1-14 Prayer starter: Petition. Throughout the Bible God's people went through times of of suffering. As you begin to pray ask God to help you in whatever area you're suffering.
Day 2 Read: Exodus 1:15-22 Prayer starter: Intercession. The Hebrew midwives were pressured to kill babies. As you begin to pray think of people you know who are being pressured to do wrong and pray that they'll do right.
Day 3 Read: Exodus 2:1-10 Prayer starter: Thanksgiving. Even in the worst of times God can work things out for you as He did for Moses and his family. As you begin to pray Thank God for doing something great in your life.
Day 4 Read: Exodus 2:11-25 Prayer starter: Confession Moses killed a guard and though nobody knew about it--he was wrong. As you begin to pray confess to God some hidden sin in your life because it's not hidden from Him.
Day 5 Read: Acts 7:17-24 Prayer starter: Praise God made a way to deliver the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt. As you begin to pray praise Him for thinking of you and providing a way of deliverance for you.
Day 6 Read: Hebrews 11:23-28 Prayer starter: Commitment Moses decided to give up the wealth and prestige that came with living in Pharaoh's house. As you begin to pray make a similar commitment to live your life for God.
