Each day you will be given a reading assignment. After reading the assinged portion record any observations or questions that come to mind.

PRAYER STARTER

Each Day you will be given a orayer starter. This is designed to help you begin your daily prayer to God.

 

Day 1

Prayer starter: THANKSGIVING

Look around and notice the handiwork of God. As you begin to pray thank Him for some specific things that He created and put in your world.

 

Day 2

Read: Genesis 9

Prayer starter: Confession

Before the flood and after the flood sin was a problem. It can still be a problem for you. As you begin to pray ask God to forgive you of specific sins in your life.

 

Day 3

Read: Genesis 12

Prayer starter: Commitment

God called Abram to go to a new land. God has a specific purpose for you. As you begin to pray make a commitment to God to serve Him in whatever way He wants.

 

Day 4

Read: Genesis 14

Prayer starter: Intercession

Abram came to the rescue of his nephew Lot. As you begin to pray think of one person who is struggling with a problem and come to his/her rescue by praying for him/her.

 

Day 5

Read: Genesis 15

Prayer starter: Petition

Abram asked God for proof that God would keep His promise. What kind of assurance do you want from God? As you begin to pray ask Him for this assurance.

 

Day 6

Read: Genesis 16

Prayer starter: Praise

Hagar gave God the name "You are the God who sees me." As you begin to pray give God a name that describes His relationship with you.

Search for Enoch, Lot and Melchizedek in the Old Testament.

Read the love story found in Genesis 24.
